The APA Denounces Violence!

It has been brought to our attention that Teresa van Lieshout’s team conducted a meeting on Friday the 9th of July. The meeting apparently bore the name of the Australian Patriots Alliance, making it seem that our organisation was hosting the event. I would like to make it very clear that we did not host that meeting, nor were we involved in any way in organising that event. Unfortunately, our name was used without our knowledge and our consent, thereby associating us to an approach we do not support.

The APA does not believe in, nor do we support or condone violence of any kind. The APA’s strategy is clearly stated on our website and on our telegram page. We have devised a two-pronged approach consisting of firstly mobilising leaders to collaborate for our common good; and secondly in building alternative infrastructures for the benefit of the Australian people. At no point in our approach do we call for violent means and solutions. And our position against violence remains firm and will continue to be so.

We met with representatives of Teresa’s group in our efforts to unite leaders. We agreed to help the group under the strict provision that the strategic focus would be peaceful as well as that the protection and wellbeing of the Australian people will be of paramount priority. Inciting violence in which the people will take part is a far cry from protecting the people and being peaceful. This annuls any agreement of collaboration.

I must take ownership of this troubling situation however. In my rush to collaborate with others, I failed to exercise caution in the bonds I have been working to forge. None of our member organisations condone violence. Thus, I would like to sincerely apologise to all our valued members for any harm this issue may cause. And on behalf of our organisation, I would like to denounce any movement or group who would engage in, condone, or incite violence as a means to respond to the predicament in which we find ourselves. Please visit our website or our Telegram page for more information about the APA.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kindest Regards,
